This is the www.thezensite.com home page. Here you will find links to a wide variety of materials about Zen including essays on the history and development of Zen, philosophical studies, critical studies, Zen teachings by various teachers, an extensive selection of writings about Nagarjuna, book reviews of Zen books, and links to interesting Zen sites. There are also some links and writings about non-Zen topics which may be of interest to Zen students. The material on each page is generally listed alphabetically by author, web site or topic.

The ZenTeachings section includes teachings, teishos and commentaries by various teachers including Robert Aitken, Augusto Alcalde, Dogen,Thich Nhat Hanh, John Daido Loori, Amy Samy, Harada Tangen, Koun Yamada, (and other Diamond Sangha teachers), Hsu (Xu) Yun and many others. Go to the Commentaries and Teishos link. Also, this section includes translations of sutras, koans, information on the Five Ranks, the Shobogenzo, and the Hsin Hsin Ming. Dogen is broken down into two sections: Dogen's teachings and studies about Dogen.

There's quite a bit of material in the "Miscellaneous" section of both the Zen Teachings and the Zen Essays section. These are writings that are interesting but don't fit regularly into any catagory (or there's not enough of them to create their own catagory yet). Please browse through them; you may find something of interest to you.

I highly recommend the search facility on this site. If you can't find what you're looking for readily, try the search box on this page. It works like a regular Google search with key words or phrases.
